Woods' Capital League side maintained their unbeaten record thanks to a late headed goal from Danny Julienne, after the players had struggled through major traffic delays to reach the Stag Meadow ground. Northwood were on top against a young Windsor side throughout much of the opening half - but managed just one shot on target in the opening 45 minutes. Ricky Alexander did not appear after the break due to an injury, and there was a further injury problem when Dean Clark was forced off following a heavy challenge. The visitors continued to dominate possession, but it was Windsor & Eton that took a 65th minute lead, when they made a quick breakaway attack, and Shane Fulbrook slipped past Aaron Coldman to finish well. The Woods finally levelled the scores with just five minutes remaining on the clock, when Danny Julienne rose like a salmon to head home from Wayne Carter's corner. |
